Scrolla.Africa launches new Nigerian channels on ayoba!
At ayoba we play a critical role in keeping our users informed about the events happening around them. One of the ways we do that is by partnering with some of the biggest storytelling platforms on the continent.
One of our longest-serving partners, Scrolla.Africa, is renowned for sharing the latest trending news in South Africa and engaging young audiences while they do it. Their channels on ayoba have proven to be a hit among young South Africans and now they are looking to expand into Nigeria.
Now, they will be expanding their offering by launching two brand new Nigerian channels on ayoba which will give West African readers the same experience in English and Hausa.
Phillip van Niekerk, Scrolla’s editorial director, said: “It’s really exciting to start running Scrolla in Nigeria with Ayoba. Young Nigerians are listening to Amapiano and young South Africans are listening to Afrobeats. We want to be part of that cultural synergy.”
Launched in South Africa, Scrolla has been running on Ayoba since 2020, with channels in English and Zulu, as well as dedicated sports channels. Scrolla is for readers on the move. It combines snappy coverage of serious news with popular culture and sport.
